I found out that Webull is starting options in Canada soon. Do you guys think that 1$ a contract with no commissions is a fair price? Or is there something better?
Is this a fair contract fee for Canada?

I use Interactive brokers… sometimes it’s more sometimes it’s less, but $1 per is reasonable
Typical non-professional commissions in the US are 0.40-0.65. Add on the costs to feed the sled-dogs that haul the options chains from Secaucus to Toronto and a dollar per contract makes sense.
I use TD Waterhouse for a flat fee of 9.99+1.25 per contract. I guess Webull is gonna be my next platform.
Just out of curiosity when you say $1 per contract with no commission… isn’t the $1 a commission? And do you still have to pay the exchange fees that get passed thru to the customer?
It’s only .50 per contract at E*Trade. $1 round trip
