Sorry $ASTS bulls: Starlink is launching direct-to-cell satellites and will offer satellite-to-phone service with $TMUS this year.

    1. FCC has still denied and continues to deny they’re request for changing the requirements. Asts is already approved with current parameters. And they already have Verizon and Atandt. Keep crying….

    2. This is nothing. Spacex won’t have the same capacity as ASTS and won’t until they completely redesign their tech to follow FCC rules.

    3. if people did their DD they’d already know why this is really coming off as a bluff.

He’s been unable to get FCC approval for the satellites he currently has. The way they are now, they can’t run at full capability and will have latency issues so they’ve been practically begging them to change their criteria to fit what they have now. They won’t because it causes too much interference with terrestrial services. If you read the related FCC documents you’d see they’ve made 0 headway with this. So unless they create new satellites within the years AND launch them? I don’t see it. Maybe in five years

    4. it’s not new information.

AT&T & Verizon have chosen ASTS while T-Mobile has chosen StarLink.

Starlink unable to comply to FCC probably only able to offer sos, maybe text. ASTS will do voice and data.

    6. Elon said it? On twitter?? That’s some FACTS right there bois ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)

Not worried about anything Elon is behind. His track record of shitting the bed is unparalleled. Makes me more bullish if anything.

FCC told them to fuck off, Starlink begged the FCC not to tell the public about their ruling but they did anyway. Now here we are watching Elon pretend it didn’t happen. Wake up chief, the guy is an absolute clown. Tell us all where they’re going to get the spectrum to operate this bullshit?
