I recently had my parked car and someone elses car totaled by a reckless Tesla driver in June. I was told they were going 100+ in a residential and lost control. She managed to total three cars including hers. I initially got a rental covered by their insurance the following week and ended up in the rental for 9 1/2weeks. I just got the settlement offer a few days ago. The rental company is now putting $200, $500, $300 charges on my credit card without notifying me. I ordered a replacement card with a new number so they don't continue to rack up charges.

Is there a limit to how long an at fault insurance company will cover a rental and is it really my fault if they are taking too long to rectify the situation.

Not at fault accident rental covered now they are charging my card.

Rental coverage usually stops right around the time they offer you a payout for the damage or vehicle.
