Hello,

I have a job offer from a new firm, and they are offerring to help me get my RIBO granted I pay them back for the license after a year, and
The job is totally independant, it is 65% of the total commission and the firm retains 35%
However there is no base pay it is only commissions
The job is for commercial insurance broker in Ontario

Is this a good idea? I have done well in sales traditionally, I have 3 years of exp and 1 yr was in insurance as a personal lines sales rep.
I was wondering if this sounds legit or if this is not good practice to work as a broker without a base pay
