I filed a personal injury claim at the other party's car insurance (StateFarm) in March 2024. In May, the adjuster told me they are 100% liable, and I submitted medical records, proof of property damage and my settlement requests as the adjuster told me to. Till now, I still haven't heard from them. The adjuster never picked up calls. I messaged them via their portal and sent them voice messages many times in the last few months. Is it normal for them to take so long? Do I need to hire an attorney to help me follow up? Anyone can share their experience? TIA

    1. Call and ask for a supervisor. You may want to also make sure you’re reaching out to the right person. The adjuster may not be with the company anymore.

    2. That’s insane. Based on the statute of limitations in your state I would advise filing a small claims suit against their insured and a supervisor escalation and a DOI complaint. Or file on your own carrier and let them hammer on SF for you.
