Hey good morning everyone. Fairly long story here, so bear with me.

I ended an otherwise great day finding myself in a complete nightmare of a situation with my servicer that has kept me up all night trying to figure out a solution.

Some important background here: After six very long years, the state I serve is finally ready to cut a check for my Chaplain Loan Repayment Program as soon as I provide them with an acceptable data sheet from studentaid.gov.

Back in February, I noticed what I perceived to be an error on my credit report: six accounts from my servicer that had been marked as delinquent. When I called the servicer, Nelnet, they told me explicitly that my accounts were in good standing. I disputed with the bureaus after obtaining a letter from the servicer stating such, but was still unsuccessful for some reason in getting these negative reports removed. I have tried, repeatedly, since I found out about the issue, to address this appropriately. Yesterday, I received a note in IPSSA from NGB requesting that data sheet to move forward with my SLRP payment.

If there is an upside to this story, I was lucky enough to have someone at Student Aid willing to do a deep dive on my Nelnet account, and, wouldn't you know it, he was able to find the six accounts. Here's where it gets really interesting: Nelnet not only put me in default for these accounts, but they sold my accounts to a guarantor that has given me only three options:
    -make a settlement offer
-enter a loan rehab program (9-10 month delay)
    -consolidate (2-3 month delay)

Aside from contacting the ombudsman and an attorney (my legal assistance office never contacted me after an effort I made in June, so I'm having to go with a private attorney), which I have already done, is there any advice anyone can provide me with?

Also, can SLRP be used with consolidated loans?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer me. Hope you all have a great day.

In sincere need of guidance regarding student loans
