Im looking to vent and maybe get some advice or someone to vent with me.

Theres no upwards mobility for this "career" path and Im completely miserable.

I had another nasty customer interaction that completely drove me over the edge. I believe this is the one that will lead to my firing or a warning depending on how I handle it with HR. A part of me wants to be fired so I can sit comfortably on unemployment for some time.

Ive been sending out my resume out to every different kind of position and company but get automated rejection emails immediately after. I feel stuck and dont know what to do next

My job as an auto insurance adjuster is making me miserable – anyone else?

    1. It definitely is not for everyone, there is a reason that the turnover for entry level positions can be fairly high. I have not experienced the lack of upwards mobility, In my first 4 years I think I moved up about 5 times.

That being said, if you do not like the work and dealing with customers then that is understandable.

You can look at other customer service roles, or if you want to do something without customers, then need to look at what you are interested in.

It’s not a job for everyone. But there is plenty of mobility. Benefits and comp are good. But only you can decide if that’s worth the stress. If you stay in find new ways to handle it. Self care etc.

I worked in claims for 2.5 years with the red umbrella. Started off good and progressively got worse. Increased volume, huge turnover, unattainable metrix, constant phone calls, emails, voicemails. Constant stress and anxiety. A never ending game of never catching up. I finally quit with no notice and it was the best decision i ever made.

Was the pay good? Yes, is it worth your mental health and happiness? No. No job is
