Maybe if they didn’t mark up all their shit 200% I would but more things there. It’s such a stupid business model.

    2. They are the fucking worse. I have to drop Fedex packages off there sometimes. Every employee reacts like I am so inconvenient to them. For utilizing a service they provide. All are rude. All roll their eyes. Every time I go, there is literally no person in the store and the employees are hiding in the back. I had one old hag tell me “If these packages get any heavier, you can’t bring them here.” Ok bitch, I know the max weight and size Walgreens will accept. These 11lb boxes aren’t it.

      Literally no customers ever.

Now, onto the pharmacy. The hours are all fucked up. Seems they can only employee a pharmacist 15 hours a week. And they go on lunch 4 times a day. Idk. Half the time I pull up, there is a sign saying “Pharmacy closed” at 2pm on a Monday. Ok. When they are open there is a 6 car line in the drive thru and they make it through each car in the blazing speed of 28 minutes.

Everything in their store is extremely overpriced. Even their knock off shitty Walgreens brand medicine is 400% more then Name Brands anywhere else.

I hope they die. I hope they disappear. Thanks for listening to my rant.

    3. My coworker saw me looking at stocks during break a couple months back and asked me about it. She wanted to get into the market but was afraid to pick bad companies.

I told her just pick popular brands that she uses.

She replied, so like.. CVS and Wallgreens?

Like a week later, wallgreens said they were closing a ton of stores and the stock tanked. I thought it was pretty funny.

Soooo, they should be due for some calls right???

But seriously, they are garbage, and yet I go there 3 times a month to grab family meds. So what gives?

They have a specialty pharmacy near me, Not sure if its a test store, but it’s amazing. You walk into a tiny waiting room and there is no product for sale except a couple things behind the counter. It’s a pharmacy that is just a pharmacy. Their normal store is trash though.

    6. in nyc everything is fkin locked up and u gotta find the workers to unlock them even for a can of soda. theres so many times i need something, walks in, then leaves cause no one comes to you after pressing the button and waiting.

i get the whole loss prevention crap
but cmon dude its inconvenient as fk

    7. This is a shocker I tell you, an absolute shocker!

Where else am I supposed to buy my 20 pills of vitamin C for 19.99 a container?

      Or that ibuprofen for 9.99.

    8. Good. The entire company is rude as fuck. I hate shopping there and when I am forced to, those wannabe rental cops, always trying to grab your receipt when you leave. I didn’t sign no terms of service. You watch me bag my own shit, make the camera make a dinging sound to remind me that you’re watching me, and then because you’re too damn cheap to hire register employees, you think I have to prove to you what I want? The fuck outta here with that bullshit. I love putting those assholes in their place when they “demand” that I show them my receipt.

    9. I worked for them until about ten years ago. Once they saturated the market with 8k+ locations, they decided to keep squeezing out extra profit by continuously cutting more labor hours, eliminating various low level regional management positions (who kept departments trained and operating well), and cutting inventory.

Yet another example of a bunch of MBAs ten levels above anyone aware of how the stores actually operate, making decisions that kill the customer experience, and drive the business into the ground.

    10. My cousin has been a pharmacists there for 12 years, he said it’s never been this bad and the decisions they’ve been making are trying to get bought out or go bankrupt while grabbing cash like circuit city did

Can they file bankruptcy and close their stores so that some other similarly non performing company can fill that gap

If the free market kills Walgreens, we would all be better off. Let them become a cautionary tale.
