I live in MI & have my own “PLPD” policy, WITHOUT comp. or coll., on my own vehicle (Chevy Sonic) through AAA.
A friend is visiting from TN & has their own “Full Coverage” policy, including comp. & coll., on their own vehicle (Ford F-150) – unsure of the specific company.
I was a licensed producer here in MI for a few years but have since let my license expire, so I’m a little behind on how coverage is extended to other drivers, if at all anymore.

While they’re here they offered for me to use their vehicle to move some larger items out of my storage unit since my tiny little sonic doesn’t fit much. They’re not able to accompany me while I use their vehicle due to some scheduling conflicts.
Is it legal for me to drive their vehicle (with permission, of course)? In the event of an accident, would their vehicle damage still be covered? Would their liability limits apply or mine (if necessary)? I’m mostly concerned about vehicle damage coverage since it’s a much higher value vehicle than my own.

Any extra info or resources is greatly appreciated as well!
    Thanks!!
