Long story short I am 19 with a Lexus, in the middle of the night I hit a tire on the highway, it was unavoidable and it destroyed my front bumper, everything is in good mechanical condition it was just cosmetic. Is it even worth raising my rates for something like this?

Hit a tire on the Road, 2-3k worth of damage, should I even bother contacting my insurance?

Honestly, if you can absorb the out of pocket cost it’s best to not involve insurance. You are a youthful driver and the rate hike could be very high for an at fault accident.

    2. If I was 19 and the vehicle was safe to drive, I wouldn’t file a claim. I’d take it to get looked at though

    3. If it’s just cosmetic honestly ask yourself if you can just deal with the damage. (Have it evaluated by a mechanic first though).
