Hello everyone,
Does anyone with knowledge can explain how and why have Taxi insurance gotten so exorbitantly expensive. For context within 5 years our Taxi insurance in Ontario has gone from around $450 to now over $900.
Someone with experience in insurance please explain. Thank you.

It’s the rising claims costs. More accidents, bigger payouts, all that drives up rates. Try shopping around with a broker who knows the taxi business
If that’s per year, count your blessings.
If per month, well, taxi liability has always been expensive as far back as I can remember (the Stone Age).
