There is only one reason to release 100 models instead of a few versions of one and it’s because your models suck.
Why does this even matter. Using AliExpress search just yields the same items or brands you have already viewed. If they can’t figure out search on an e-commerce platform what makes you think their AI is going to work.

Alibaba actively conducts lead academic research in AI and releases to the public. They open source a lot of models for years now. They have several models in hugging face LLM leaderboard. Their repos on github have thousands of stars for models in video and text tasks.
They open source, its good for everyone. OpenAi is still struggling to find meaning for the first 4 letters of the name. Maybe find something better to comment related to this news? Thanks
