My wife is currently a reservist, but left active duty three years ago. I am currently active duty. My wife intends on using the GI bill to go to college. Does she rate the GI Bill BAH if I’m also receiving BAH?

She gets MHA from the VA, your BAH comes from DoD.
She gets paid her full benefits – you being on active duty and being paid BAH has nothing to do with the benefits she earned. VA is not part of the military so can’t pay BAH. Post 9/11 GI Bill pays MHA – yes it’s set up to pay based on one very specific BAH rate – that doesn’t make it BAH. Don’t apply military rules to VA benefits.
