Can car insurance request footage of UNINVOLVED neighbours CCTV?

Hi,

NSW Australia-

If someone drove into their own garage door with their car, and they put a claim – can the insurance ask for that persons *Neighbours* CCTV footage, even if the neighbours have nothing to do with the incident other than potentially having cctv of this? Or can they hire a investigator to obtain CCTV footage from the neighbours perspective?

Note: Neighbours was not involved with the incident at all, other than potentially having cctv.
