My car insurance is saying I don’t have personal injury coverage on my policy so the hospital won’t submit my bill to my health insurance since it was a car accident and “should” be covered by my car insurance. What happens now? Since I don’t have a personal injury coverage won’t my health insurance take care of the huge ER bill?

I got hit by a truck but the accident was my fault. I have broken bones and a huge ER bill.

Without pip coverage on your auto policy, yes, your health ins provider would be the main provider for your medical bills. Provide the hospital with your health insurance information and they should bill them accordingly. Just explain to them you have no pip coverage on your policy

    2. I’m confused how you were found at fault if you were the one hit. If you are not at fault, the other party would be paying your medical bills or your insurance will use your uninsured motorist-bodily injury. If you genuinely weren’t at fault, I would start there with suing the at fault party.
If you are at fault, yes, you would need PIP, MP, or you use your normal health insurance.

    3. If you get a written denial from your auto insurance company, your health insurance should accept liability, subject to your usual deductibles and copays.
