For the last couple of years, especially when it came to B2B startups, the go to marketing strategy was content marketing. But I think its fair to say with the advent I think content marketing is going to be dead very soon if not already.

Let me explain myself. Here is how content marketing basically worked for startups- you would look at phrases your customers were searching for on google and then ideally write blogs around it so that your blogs show up on Google search results. You then organically link your product inside the blog and you hope the customer clicks and buys your product.

However with the advent of AI and tools like Wosily and Pulse, startups are now able to automatically churn out blogs daily in seconds and for almost pennies. It used to take $100s of dollars per blog if you hired someone to do it, now its a saas that costs a small monthly fee.

So this means, every startup is going to have blogs targeted at all the keywords that, having a blog or content marketing strategy isn't going to give you an advantage.

Of course not having a content marketing strategy or blogs might hurt you but having one one only makes you even and you are essentially back to square zero.

So in the short run I'm sure a lot of you all will reap the benefits but in the long run, its going to be a stalemate with no added benefit from having a content marketing strategy.

So that brings in the next big question. If not content marketing, what is going to be the new marketing channel of 2025? I personally think it's going to be personalized email and sms marketing but what do you all think?

Content Marketing is Dead. So what's next?

    1. Content marketing isnt going anywhere. You just listed one way of content marketing but there are many of them.

Regarding blogs i believe this isnt going anywhere because:

      – While this may be the game of cat and mouse, search engines wont like the ai content and will always prioritize content written by a human aka personal experience.
