A Thursday, monthly equity, index, and cash-settled currency options expiration date, which cease trading at 12pm ET.
Question for experienced option traders, do you tend to avoid options expiring on these (shorter week) dates, prefer to trade on these dated options, or does it really not make much of a difference (if you weren't planning to hold to expiration anyway)?
My concern is for worst case scenario, as expiration drew closer, average trader might avoid that date and go for the weekly (which gives them an additional day +4 hours to trade).
Thoughts?
