Any recommendations for good iOS apps to get alerts on options. Lost so much forgetting I had leaps

    1. You can’t trade options like stocks because options expire and shares don’t. Options have theta decay and stocks don’t. So it’s okay to buy shares and forget about them for years, but it’s not okay to buy/sell options and forget about them. Discipline is required in options trading and will do more for you than an app. How hard is it to login periodically and check things out? If that’s too hard for you, you should avoid options.

Fidelity sends whatever alerts I select to my phone. I currently get opening and closing trades, price alerts, emergency or security alerts, and end of day for Nothing Done orders (limits or stops not reached). It’s convenient at the desk, but a little like a pinball machine in public; I turn the sound off most times and rely on vibration.
